Author Guidelines
Mirror of the People: International Journal of Social Studies (P-ISSN: - | E-ISSN: -) is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and critical discussion in the field of social studies. The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews that contribute to understanding contemporary social issues at local, national, and global levels.
The journal is managed and published by the Indonesian Foundation for Research, Development, and Community Empowerment (YPPPM). It provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate innovative ideas and findings related to social structures, public policy, demographic change, sustainable development, and community empowerment.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscripts should be written in English using Times New Roman, 12-point font size, single spacing.
- The manuscript must include an abstract in English consisting of 150–250 words.
- Authors must provide 3–7 keywords representing the main topics of the article.
- Foreign terms and scientific names should be written in italics where appropriate.
- References and citations should follow the journal's prescribed citation style.
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
Article Template
Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the official article template provided by the journal. Submissions that do not follow the template may be returned for revision before the review process.
Article Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a Double-Blind Peer Review process and is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection are based on reviewers' recommendations and the assessment of the editorial board.
If reviewers determine that a manuscript is not suitable for publication, the editorial office will provide feedback and notify the author of the decision after completion of the review process.
Publication Fee
Mirror of the People does not charge any submission fee, article processing charge (APC), or publication fee. All accepted articles are published free of charge.
Readers may access, read, and download all published articles freely in accordance with the journal's open-access policy.
Online Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors are required to register an account before submitting their manuscripts.
After registration, authors may log in to the journal system and select New Submission to begin the submission process. Authors should complete all required metadata and upload the manuscript according to the journal guidelines.
